Primos Pizza is a local independent restaurant concept that started in the Boise, Idaho area ten years ago, and now has locations spread across the Treasure Valley. We offer all you can eat pizza, pasta, salad and dessert pizzas, served buffet-style, but with a bit of a customer centric and service oriented approach. You see, we appreciate everyone's desire to choose their favorite kind of pizza, so when you first arrive, we'll ask you what kind of pizza you'd like us to put in the oven for you, and then we'll bring some fresh, hot slices of it to your table before placing it on the buffet. We'll also pass by your table periodically to clear your plates and see if there is anything else we can make for you.
What sets Primos Pizza apart from the competition?
Value and Selection.
How often does the family go out to eat together, and every family member comes home completely satisfied? The days of having to settle for the kind of pizza that your kids, parents or siblings want are over. Because of our buffet concept, everyone will be able to have the kind of pizza that they like. How often does someone come home hungry, because they had to share an entree, or the "kids meal" wasn't big enough for the "kid?" That won't happen at Primos, because you pay for your pizza by the person, and not by the pie or the slice. It's "all you can eat," so everyone will be able to eat until they are completely satisfied, no more, no less. Since it is buffet style, you won't feel guilty leaving those last couple of pieces on the pan like you would at other places, or even worse, eat those last couple of pieces out of spending guilt, and then regret it later!
Because our kids buffet prices are based on age and include a soft drink with free refills, and our Adult buffet is priced less than most quick serve or fast food "value" meals, you can feed the entire family for less than you might spend at the burger, taco, or chicken joint down the street, let alone what you might spend at a sit-down casual dining restaurant. Primos is the best family meal deal in town.
What about the food quality?
It is fantastic! Admittedly, when Primos first opened ten years ago, it was perceived as more of a "Quantity" over "Quality" experience for customers. Over time, our product has vastly improved to where we would put it up against any other pizza place in town. Some of the improvements in recent years include the following:
- Proprietary dough recipe developed in conjunction with our flour vendor, Pendleton Flour Mills, in Pendleton, Oregon. We recently started using a larger sized dough ball for the pizza crusts, which means a thicker, more substantial crust for you to enjoy.
- We now use our own proprietary blend of spices in our traditional pizza sauce that cannot be copied anywhere. We also have several other unique sauces to choose from, including white garlic ranch, barbeque, buffalo and tuscany sauces.
- We use fresh 100% mozzarella cheese, as opposed to the frozen mozzarella product that was originally used.
- Our customers tell us on a regular basis that we have one of the largest and most fresh salad bars in town.
So, if you tried Primos sometime in the last decade, perhaps at your kid's little league sports team party, but haven't been back since, you've got to come again and give Primos a try. For value, selection and quality, you will be glad you did!
What are your plans for expansion?
We are currently have both company-owned stores in the Treasure Valley, and a franchisee presence outside of Idaho in Eastern Oregon. We are currently looking into potential locations in other parts of the Treasure Valley for company-owned stores. Our areas of interest include NW Boise, SE Boise, near the BSU campus, and Caldwell. We would also like to expand to the Twin Falls area and eventually re-enter the Eastern Idaho market.
As we further expand the number of franchised locations, we plan to look at those markets that are easily accessible from Boise, have a similar targeted customer demographic, and a core population size to support a large buffet style restaurant. Those markets include the Wasatch Front in Utah (Ogden/Salt LakeCity/Provo,) Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Portland and Seattle.
How many franchises will you sell?
We don't have a specific number in mind. We are going to be very selective to whom we grant franchises. Its nice to be able to grow at your own pace to ensure that the franchised stores are comparable to the company owned stores.
